Economist – Engineering & Transportation Planning

A leading engineering and infrastructure planning company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Economist to join its finance and project control team.

This role is ideal for candidates coming from engineering or architecture planning firms, particularly in the transportation and infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Budgeting and financial control for engineering projects
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts
• Managing collection processes and monitoring client payments
• Conducting salary analyses, tracking contracts, and handling fee increase requests
• Preparing price proposals, invoices, and account revisions as needed
• Maintaining continuous contact with major clients and public-sector entities
• Monitoring project scope and ongoing budget performance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Industrial Engineering & Management – mandatory
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Economist – mandatory
• Proven experience working in engineering or architecture planning firms – must
• Experience with planning tariffs and project-based billing – an advantage
• Excellent command of Excel and full proficiency in MS Office tools
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
