Senior Backend Engineer – AI & Metrics

🚀 About the Team

We’re a focused team composed of a Data Scientist, a Frontend Engineer, and two Full-Stack Engineers, structured around two core pillars:

• Metrics – We own the full stack of our metrics engine, from data ingestion to frontend presentation. If it touches metrics, it’s our domain.
• AI – We develop and maintain AI capabilities, support cross-org AI needs, and lead efforts in prompt engineering and integration of intelligent features
  
  

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services powering our Metrics and AI pillars
• Own key components of our metrics engine, including data modeling, pipeline architecture, and performance optimization
• Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to productionize models, build APIs, and support AI integrations
• Provide internal tooling and backend services that enable prompt engineering and AI capability reuse across teams
• Partner with frontend engineers to create seamless data experiences and metrics visualizations
• Contribute to architectural decisions and drive technical excellence across the stack
• Write well-tested, maintainable code and establish backend best practices
  
  

• Python, React, NodeJS
• Postgres, Redis, and time-series data stores
• AI frameworks and APIs (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain, Langfuse)
• Cloud-native infrastructure (AWS/GCP), containerization (Docker, K8s)
  
  

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience
• Prompt engineering experience
• Deep expertise in Python and Node.js
• Strong experience with distributed systems, data pipelines, and cloud services
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and performance tuning
• Hands-on experience with AI tools
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proven knowledge and understanding of Relational Databases (SQL Server, postgres)
• Advantage:
• Hands-on experience with AI for code use cases: code generation & completion, test generation, code review and summarization etc
• Optimize database queries and the ability to read execution plans
