SOC Team Leader

We are looking for a hands-on Cyber Security Team Leader to lead our Tier 2 SOC team. This is a strategic and technical leadership role, ideal for a highly skilled professional with a strong background in cyber defense, incident response, and team management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of 6 Tier 1 and 2 Tier 2 SOC analysts.
• Manage and oversee cybersecurity incidents from detection to resolution, including DDoS (infrastructure/application), phishing, and escalation scenarios.
• Make independent technical decisions during critical incidents.
• Operate and maintain SIEM (mandatory) and SOAR (Cortex – advantage) platforms.
• Develop and maintain playbooks, automations, and incident response procedures.
• Conduct threat hunting, forensics, and root cause analysis.
• Build and maintain network architecture and topology for medium-sized organizations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and submit reports to regulatory bodies.
• Lead post-incident reviews, define next steps, and implement lessons learned.
• Drive the professional development of analysts through structured training plans and performance goals.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as a Tier 2 Cyber Security Analyst in a top-tier SOC.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience with SIEM platforms – mandatory.
• Experience with SOAR platforms (Cortex preferred) – advantage.
• Strong technical knowledge of Windows and Linux OS, networking, and IT systems.
• Experience with SolarWinds, MASH, and other IT monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with security technologies: AV, NAC, DLP, EDR, FW, IPS, Sandbox, etc.
• Deep hands-on experience with Azure and AWS environments.
• Proven experience in incident investigation, reporting, and playbook development.
• Strong understanding of enterprise network architecture – advantage.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
