System Engineer-Air Defense

System Engineer | Ashdod, Israel | ELTA Systems

ELTA Systems is looking for a talented and proactive System Engineer to join our cutting-edge projects. This is a challenging and rewarding role at the core of key decision-making processes.

The position includes:

• Defining system architecture and specifications

• Gathering and analyzing customer requirements

• Designing the system and approving its implementation throughout the project lifecycle

• Collaborating with peers and multidisciplinary teams

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Aeronautics, Electro-Optics, Physics, or Exact Sciences – required

• Advanced degree in one of these fields – strong advantage

• 2–3 years of experience in system engineering with emphasis on requirements development – required

• Experience working with multidisciplinary systems – required

• High level of English (writing, reading, speaking) – required

• Experience with MATLAB or Python

• Knowledge and experience in radar systems – advantage

• Experience in defense systems – advantage

• Willingness to travel abroad as part of the role

• Ability to work independently, learn quickly, manage multiple tasks, and perform under pressure

• Strong teamwork, analytical skills, system-level perspective, and creative problem-solving abilities
