At WDTS, we are at the forefront of the gaming industry, dedicated to innovating and elevating the casino gaming experience. We specialize in developing cutting-edge casino table games and integrating sophisticated game technology to provide unmatched gaming entertainment.
As the Data Product Lead, your role is both strategic and executional: you will define the vision and lead the development of data-driven products that unlock value across the WDTS platform. You will guide discovery, shape product direction, and drive execution across the product lifecycle—from concept to production and continuous improvement. Working closely with WDTS Product Managers, Commercial and Delivery teams, and the broader Data Strategy & Analytics organization, you will bridge business needs, data capabilities, and product execution. You’ll ensure data is properly collected, structured, and translated into meaningful, client-facing solutions powered by analytical models and machine learning.
You’ll translate operator and business requirements into clear product specifications, collaborate on the design, enhancement, and validation of the underlying models, and oversee execution to ensure measurable impact and stakeholder alignment at every stage.
Responsibilities
- Define Product Vision & Roadmap: Own the strategy and development roadmap for one or more data products, aligning with operator needs and business goals, and WDTS’s product framework to ensure consistency in how products are defined, built, and delivered.
- Own Requirements Gathering: Translate business and stakeholder needs into clear product requirements, defining data models, analytical algorithms and prioritized features.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Commercial, Delivery, and Design teams to align goals and execution throughout the product lifecycle.
- Product Discovery, Development & Iteration: Lead end-to-end product delivery—from discovery and validation (including real-world data testing) to launch and continuous improvement.
- Data Architecture & Integration Partnership: Work with engineering and data analytics teams to define product-level data flows and modeling requirements and ensure accurate data ingestion, transformation, and utilization.
- Performance & Value Measurement: Define success metrics, measure performance, and iterate based on user feedback, business impact, and adoption data. Use these insights to inform iterations and guide long-term prioritization.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the central liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders; communicate vision, progress, and impact clearly and effectively.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong Product Management Expertise: Proven ability to lead discovery, define requirements, and drive roadmap execution across cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in Data Technologies: Skilled in SQL and Python, with strong understanding of modern analytics and AI/ML technologies (including GenAI and LLM-based tools). Able to collaborate effectively with data scientists, AI/ML engineers, and analysts to translate insights into product features and requirements.
- Proven Success Delivering Analytics and Data Products: Demonstrated experience building or launching data-driven solutions in fast-paced environments.
- Strong Business Acumen and Client Orientation: Capable of translating operator challenges into actionable product opportunities.
- Clear and Effective Communicator: Adept at aligning technical and business stakeholders and articulating tradeoffs and value clearly.
- Familiarity with BI and Visualization Tools: Experience using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to support stakeholder alignment and product adoption.
- Knowledge of Responsible Data Practices: Understanding of governance, compliance, and ethical data use in enterprise environments.
- Eligible for Gaming Industry Background Checks and other security screenings as required by client jurisdictions.
- Ability to Work Across Time Zones: Flexibility to collaborate with teams in West Coast U.S. and Macau time zones as needed.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field; coursework or certification in product management or analytics preferred.
- 5–7+ years of experience in product management, data strategy, or related fields with a focus on data or analytics products.
- Prior experience working directly with clients or end-users to shape product direction and drive adoption is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to travel locally and/or internationally 5-10% of the time for customer service needs, or site visits, which may involve occasional or frequent lifting and walking.
