Systems Engineer Team Lead

Exodigo is the leading underground mapping solution for non-intrusive discovery. Our platforms combine multi-sensor fusion, 3D imaging, and AI technologies to create complete, accurate underground maps that enable confident decision-making for customers across the built world. We transform the project lifecycle for our customers, who include key community stakeholders in the utilities, transportation and government sectors.

We are experiencing sky-rocketing growth and closed a historically large $96M Series B round in July of 2025.

We are looking for a hands-on Team Lead to head our multidisciplinary Systems team. This role combines technical leadership in hardware, mechanics, systems, and signal/software integration with ownership of project planning and execution. You will guide complex, cross-functional developments from concept to delivery, ensuring both technical excellence and program success.

Key Responsibilities

· Define and maintain comprehensive system requirements and architecture that balance technical feasibility with project objectives.

· Lead the design, integration, and validation of complex systems, working closely with hardware, mechanical, algorithm, and software engineers.

· Drive system-level testing, data analysis, and validation to ensure performance of all systems and subsystems.

· Oversee prototype development, guiding hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and iterative refinement.

· Coordinate with internal teams, procurement, and external suppliers (local and international) to ensure smooth production and delivery pipelines.

· Maintain visibility on project timelines, deliverables, and resources, ensuring milestones are achieved and stakeholders have clear progress updates.

· Facilitate design reviews and cross-disciplinary discussions, providing clear direction and resolving technical and program challenges.

· Mentor and grow system engineers, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.

· Anticipate risks, manage trade-offs, and ensure seamless communication with stakeholders and leadership.

· Stay updated with industry advances, incorporating relevant best practices and technologies into system and program execution

Requirements

· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

· 7+ years of experience in system design and integration across hardware, mechanics, sensors, and software components.

· Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams and deliver complex technical projects on schedule.

· Strong background in system architecture, prototyping, testing, and signal/data analysis.

· Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation, physical measurements, and validation of real-world systems.

· Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills, with a track record of resolving complex technical issues.

· Strong project management abilities - planning, tracking, and delivering multidisciplinary projects.

· Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders around common goals.
