DevOps Engineer

Mertens - MalamTeam is looking for a talented and experienced Senior SecOps Engineer to join a leading financial organization in Central Israel.

Position Overview

As a Senior SecOps Engineer, you will lead and mentor the SecOps team, ensuring operational excellence in the organization’s cybersecurity defense. The role involves managing SIEM systems (with emphasis on IBM QRadar), developing Use Cases and automations, integrating diverse data sources, and writing scripts in Python and PowerShell. You’ll also lead technological projects, collaborate across departments, and implement best practices to continuously enhance the organization’s detection and response capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and mentor the SecOps team in daily operations and best practices.
• Manage, maintain, and operate SIEM systems (focus on QRadar) — including system maintenance, implementation, log parsing, and rule creation.
• Develop Use Cases, automation workflows, and integration scripts to improve detection and response.
• Integrate diverse data sources to improve visibility and threat intelligence.
• Develop custom scripts using Python and PowerShell.
• Implement and manage SOAR solutions (advantage for XSOAR).
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to lead cybersecurity initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and financial security standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Cybersecurity / Information Security, including at least 2 years specializing in SIEM systems — mandatory.
• Proven hands-on experience with QRadar (system maintenance, deployment, log parsing, rule writing) — mandatory.
• Experience in implementing and integrating SOAR platforms — mandatory (significant advantage for XSOAR).
• Proficiency in Python and PowerShell scripting — mandatory.
• Experience leading processes and working with multiple stakeholders.
• Previous experience in regulated, financial, or banking environments — advantage.
