Help Wanted: English Content Writer/Arabic Translator and WhatsApp Community Admin
The Center for Peace Communications is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented WhatsApp Community Admin and Content Writer/Translator to join their team for an exciting new project. This is a fully remote, flexible-hours contract role.
Responsibilities
- Manage a new WhatsApp community for international journalists
- Quickly and accurately write English-language news alerts drawn from Arabic-language reportage, video, and sources
- Facilitate follow-up from community members and respond to outreach
- Collaborate with our teams to prioritize and amplify key stories
Requirements
- Native or near-native fluency in English
- Reading and auditing proficiency in Arabic, with proven translation skills
- Experience working with Arabic media, journalism, or social-media management
- Strong interest in regional and global current affairs—able to spot and summarize developments quickly
- Exceptional organizational skills and a disciplined work style in high-pace environments
- Excellent written communication, with an eye for tone, style, and cultural nuance
- Comfort with WhatsApp’s admin tools and familiarity with basic community-management best practices
