Development Team Lead

Join one of Israel’s top insurance companies as a Development Team Lead, managing the core technology team responsible for the company’s health claims system. This team leads critical development for digital innovation, regulatory projects, and the organization’s insurance core systems.

What You'll Do:

• Manage a team of ~7 software developers in a mainframe-based environment (AS/400)
• Lead development activities for digital and innovation-driven initiatives, as well as regulatory implementations
• Provide technical and managerial leadership, including mentoring, code reviews, and professional guidance
• Set development standards and ensure delivery quality and timelines
• Oversee work plans and ensure adherence to schedules
• Work closely with business stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions
• Operate in an Agile working model and collaborate with other departments and teams

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience leading a development team – Must
• Experience working with AS/400 systems – Must
• Strong familiarity with the insurance domain – Must
• Knowledge of SQL – Advantage
• Familiarity with RPG or COBOL – Advantage
• Experience in health insurance or claims systems – Strong advantage
• Background in large-scale enterprise systems – Advantage
