Business Intelligence Developer

Cover is a fast-growing insurtech startup that leverages AI to make insurance accessible, transparent, and easy – for individuals and businesses.

We’re looking for a BI Developer with strong Data Engineering skills. In this role you’ll be responsible for collecting raw data across various sources, transforming and organizing it within our data warehouse, and building BI dashboards & analytics solutions to turn this data into actionable insights.

What you’ll do:

• Build and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data models to ensure clean and accessible data.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations in Tableau to drive decision-making.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and leadership to define KPIs and analytics frameworks.
• Partner with engineers to optimize and scale our data warehouses.
• Contribute to data quality and governance initiatives.

What we’re looking for:

• 2+ years of experience as a BI Developer, or Data Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in SQL (MySQL) and Tableau for dashboard creation and visualization.
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL pipelines, and warehouse management.
• Ability to understand business needs and turn them into technical solutions in order to communicate insights clearly.
• Knowledge of AI tools and a passion for staying up to date with emerging technologies.
• Adaptable, proactive, and excited to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with Python, Clickhouse, Snowflake, or Machine Learning pipelines.
• Familiarity with fintech, insurtech, or similar industries.
• Passion for building scalable data infrastructure while delivering high-quality analytics.
