Full Stack Engineer

ARC, Sheba Medical Center's Innovation arm, is building a next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) Center for the AI-based hospital. This entails developing and implementing AI-driven solutions in the clinical field.

Position: Full Stack Developer (AI Applications)

We are looking for a full stack developer to play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative software solutions that directly impact healthcare outcomes. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare and technology, contributing to the advancement of patient care and medical research through AI-powered applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy web applications using cutting-edge technologies.
• Create intuitive and responsive user interfaces that optimize user experience.
• Develop server-side logic and APIs for seamless integration with databases and external systems such as LLMs and in-house ML models.
• Ensure code quality, security, and scalability of applications.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and apply them to ongoing projects.
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and creative problem-solving within the AI Hub team.

Qualifications:

• Must have: at least 3 years of experience as a developer in a team working on a customer facing product.
• Strong expertise in back-end technologies like Node.js, Python, or Java.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React, Angular, or similar).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is an advantage.
• Experience with AI and ML systems and application is a huge advantage.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases and data modeling.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Extra Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and integration of AI solutions into applications.
• Previous work in healthcare or related industries, demonstrating an understanding of healthcare challenges.
