Project Manager

Job Description Summary

The Project Manager Leads a cross-functional/multidisciplinary engineering team related to PET detector development and installed base support at Rehovot, to deliver project objectives.

The Project Manager drives clarity by continuously defining and prioritizing work, defines the critical success factors/deliverables for the team. This position reports to the PET Engineering Manager.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for program success providing engineering innovation within time and budgetary constraints to continuously deliver products with directly supporting the overall business strategy
• Creates and ensures effective and efficient communication across business functions;
• Applies leadership to motivate and energize the variety of cross-functional teams consisting the project.
• Works closely and transparently with system engineering team (Haifa), design transfer team, supply chain team, and globally with other engineering teams.
• Leads cross-functional and/or multi-disciplinary project planning, drives the team to generate trade-offs and identify and manage risks from the early planning phase, throughout the entire project execution.
• Works as an equal partner with the project team to deliver results, understands and openly supports all functional goals
• Solves complex and ambiguous problems, leads the strategic and forward-thinking project execution
• Works with the external team (product team) to solicit input and feedback to meet quality and meet product requirements
• Creates and supports the stewardship of intellectual property with appropriate security of project documentation
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree within appropriate Engineering/Science discipline with at least 5 years of cross-functional Project and/ or Technical Leadership experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management or project leadership of multi-disciplinary systems within a development, technical industry, manufacturing and/or research environment
• Demonstrated execution at meeting project goals while satisfying quality, performance, schedule, and budget CTQ’s
• Demonstrated engineering knowledge, project/program management, and budget planning processes, having experience with the full product lifecycle from concept through end of life
  
  

Desired Characteristics

• Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent (defined as 5 years progressive experience within engineering, science, or related field, including 5 years project leadership experience within manufacturing, development, or research development)
• Strategic planner and clear thinker with ability to drive and motivate engineer team.
• Sound technical and domain experience in at least one functional technology area
• Demonstrated experience on global product releases throughout the entire NPI cycle
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with strong ability to communicate to global stakeholders.
• Excellent knowledge in engineering, project and program management and business planning processes having experience with the full product lifecycle
• Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task
• Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation
