Director of Platform Engineering

What we are looking for

Semperis looking for an experienced Director of Platform Engineering to join the Engineering Leadership team. This is a global role based in Israel.

Position Overview

Lead our global platform and DevOps team responsible for all product infrastructure across SaaS and on-premises solutions. Drive the development of new SaaS offerings from scratch while scaling to support large customer bases under strict security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute platform and DevOps strategy aligned with business objectives
• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing global team of engineers
• Architect scalable platform solutions meeting enterprise security requirements
• Optimize developer experience through modern tooling and automation
• Balance strategic initiatives with operational commitments
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and technical discussions
• Ensure platform reliability, performance, and security across all products
  
  

Experience

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years in platform engineering/DevOps roles
• 4+ years leading distributed technical teams
• Proven track record building and scaling SaaS products from ground up
• Experience with large-scale installations under enterprise security requirements
• Fluent English and Hebrew. Experience leading multi lingual and global teams
  
  

Technical Skills

• Expert in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid architectures
• Proficient with Kubernetes, Docker, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability platforms
• Deep understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks
  
  

Leadership

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
• Strategic thinking with ability to execute plans
• Experience mentoring teams and facilitating technical discussions
• Track record of successful change management
  
  

Additional

• Advanced degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Cloud platform certifications
• Experience in regulated industries
• International team management experience

• Semperis maintains office locations in several cities across the globe. Candidates who reside within 45 miles of one of our offices—or where the job description specifies a required location—will follow our hybrid work model.
