VAST Data is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing Innovative DataEngine team!

As a Data Engine Software Engineer, You will participate in developing Vast Data Engine, a fully managed Serverless platform tailored for AI pipelines. You will write operators, controllers, and schedulers that integrate to other platforms and services all running on a Kubernetes environment.

Requirements

Requirements:

• wizardry level Golang proficiency, Golang is your go-to programming language
• deep familiarity with Kubernetes architecture and APIs/Clients.
• designed, wrote, and troubleshot Kubernetes operators and/or admission controllers in the past
• Strong familiarity with serverless-related frameworks like Knative and Kserve is a big plus
• Solid familiarity with building observability stacks and metrics-based scheduling
• Experience in designing and developing high-scale systems.
• Knowledge of AI and big data pipelines, and models development - advantage
• familiarity with Kafka - advantage
• familiarity with storage products and CSI is a plus, an advantage
