Oligonucleotide R&D Chemist

Position Summary: We are looking for a chemist to join our growing process-development team, and take part in the development and/or analysis of oligonucleotide synthesis and purification. This position requires good understanding of reaction mechanisms as well as developing and optimizing chemistry processes.

We are looking for spirited researchers who will be highly engaged in the company's mission to develop novel RNA therapeutics for major unmet medical needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, design, and execute, DS manufacturing process for oligonucleotides. Develop and implement optimization strategy of robust, scalable and cost-effective manufacturing routes while in compliance with all relevant regulatory standards
• Technology transfer of developed process to GMP production
• Solve challenging development/technical issues
• Manufacture R&D batches to be used for pre-clinical studies
• Present data and participate in group discussions 
• Document research using lab notebooks; prepare and/or review protocols and reports
• Keep up organic chemistry knowledge by reading literature papers

Qualifications

Education: MSc in chemistry – Required , PhD – Advantage (Organic Chemistry background – preferred)

Experience:

• Previous experience in similar position in the industry – Advantage
• Solid phase synthesis (peptide or oligonucleotide) or with nucleoside and nucleotide chemistry – Advantage
• Experience with ÄKTA™ systems - Advantage
