System Engineer – System of Systems

ELTA Systems, a division of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), is seeking a System Engineer for a System-of-Systems role, leading the integration of advanced radar systems with complementary sensors. This is a unique opportunity to take part in multidisciplinary, large-scale defense projects, working closely with algorithm, software, and integration teams to deliver cutting-edge operational solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform system engineering for radar-based systems integrated with additional sensors.
• Define architecture and algorithms in collaboration with software teams.
• Write system and requirements specifications.
• Conduct field and customer-site experiments, including test analysis.
• Prepare test documentation and perform integration testing in system labs.
• Manage and guide integration teams.
• Prepare documentation and presentations for design reviews.
• Lead system-level tests with customers.
• Provide engineering leadership with subcontractors.

Requirements:

• BSc in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Mathematics, or MSc in Physics – mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in system engineering – mandatory.
• Knowledge of COMINT, electro-optics, or radar technologies – advantage.
• Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities.
• Willingness to work in field environments under varying climate conditions and outside regular hours.
• Availability for international travel.
