Back End Engineer

A global startup developing a SaaS platform leveraging Machine Learning and AI technologies. The company is building a full national infrastructure that connects and enhances the way the public interacts with emergency centers and other essential services, both during emergencies and routine operations. The company holds nine patents in the field of emergency communications.

Headquartered in Tel Aviv (near a train station), the company operates a hybrid work model with 2–3 work-from-home days per week. It employs 200 people globally, including 60 in Israel.

Role overview -

• The role is part of the development team, reporting to the Team Lead.
• Tech stack: Microservices, Scala, AWS.
• Design and implement robust VoIP/unified communication architectures and systems.
• Scale and develop highly-available and super-resilient systems and deployments.
• Overcome difficult resiliency, scale, load and performance system level challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest VoIP technologies and trends.

Requirements-

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or computer science
• 7+ years of Backend Development experience, with a focus on real-time and networking systems
• Expertise in cloud services (AWS or similar), including backend services such as databases, compute services, and API management
• Experience with distributed architectures, large-scale stateful systems, and high-scale production workloads
• Proactive, “can-do” attitude with exceptional interpersonal skills
• Experience as a VoIP/Unified Communications developer – an advantage
• Understanding of SIP, VoIP, and related technologies – an advantage
