Value-Added Services Engineer (VAS) Manager

Hybrid model (~40% WFH)

Role Overview

A telecom high-tech company is seeking a VAS Manager to lead solutions such as SMSC, MMSC, VMS, IP-SM-GW. The role blends business ownership and people leadership with ~40% technical hands-on: managing Tier-3 support and development teams, owning customer relationships and end-to-end delivery (projects, ATP, integration, rollout), and prioritizing the roadmap for customers in Israel and abroad.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the VAS strategy and business line.
• Manage and coach a global team of 9; set plans/OKRs and drive execution.
• Own delivery to telecom customers: projects, ATP, integration, implementation, and ongoing support.
• Partner with Pre-Sales, Sales, and Marketing; run product demos for global clients.
• Prioritize features vs. market/customer needs; manage backlog and roadmap.
• Manage existing accounts and acquire new Tier-1/2 operators and service providers.
• Collaborate across Israel/China time zones; combine strong technical depth with commercial drive.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ years’ managerial experience in the telecom industry (preference for cellular backgrounds: Partner, Cellcom, etc.).
• Deep VAS expertise with emphasis on SMSC / MMSC / Messaging.
• Proven Tier-1/Tier-2 customer experience with telecom operators/service providers.
• Fluent English (spoken/written) for demos and global customer work.
• Strong telephony background; experience in major telecom vendors/operators is an advantage (AMDOCS background may be relevant).
