A leading defense company in Haifa is seeking a Team Leader for Algorithm Development specializing in Image Processing and Computer Vision.

This position offers the opportunity to lead groundbreaking R&D in image processing, detection, and tracking under challenging operational conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Algorithm Innovation: Develop cutting-edge algorithms for target detection and tracking in low SNR and complex environments.
• System-Level Understanding: Combine deep physical insight with system-level thinking to design holistic solutions.
• Research & Exploration: Investigate advanced technological alternatives, leveraging Deep Learning to achieve optimal results.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with core teams of system engineers, physicists, software, and firmware engineers.
• Performance Research: Lead performance studies and guide the integration of algorithms into operational systems.
• Implementation: Apply solutions using Matlab / C++ / Python.
• Documentation: Conduct comparative performance studies and produce algorithmic documentation.

• BSc in Engineering or Exact Sciences – mandatory
• MSc – advantage
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in classical Image Processing and Computer Vision, specializing in Deep Learning – mandatory
• Strong knowledge of Statistics and Probability – mandatory
• Experience in Sensor Fusion – major advantage
• Excellent analytical skills, self-learning ability, motivation, and teamwork
