Linux BSP Developer

Location: Haifa / Hybrid

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Linux BSP Developer to join our engineering team.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the low-level software stack, including board support packages, device drivers, and Linux kernel configurations, while working closely with hardware and software teams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and customize BSPs for various SoCs and platforms (ARM, NXP, TI, etc.).
• Configure and build Linux Kernel, U-Boot, and Device Trees.
• Integrate and debug device drivers and hardware interfaces.
• Work with build systems such as Yocto, Buildroot, or OpenEmbedded.
• Collaborate with hardware, application, and QA teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Embedded Linux development.
• Proven experience in BSP and kernel-level development.
• Strong knowledge of C, Shell scripting, and build tools.
• Solid understanding of bootloaders, device trees, and low-level hardware integration.
• Experience debugging hardware and software using tools such as JTAG, oscilloscope, or serial console.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with the Yocto Project.
• Experience developing device drivers for ARM-based systems.
• Familiarity with communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet).
• Experience in Medical or HLS (Homeland Security) environments – a strong advantage.
• Eligibility for security clearance.
