Director of Field Operations

One of our clients, a rapidly growing robotics startup, is looking to hire a Director of Operations to lead and scale its global deployment, maintenance, and service operations for cutting-edge autonomous robotic systems. The company develops innovative solutions that integrate hardware, software, and AI, already successfully implemented across several international markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Global Operations Leadership: Build and oversee a comprehensive worldwide service and operations infrastructure, including maintenance protocols, troubleshooting procedures, and performance optimization strategies.
• Field Deployments: Manage pilot programs and customer deployments across the globe, ensuring readiness, consistency, and high-quality rollouts.
• Customer Success: Drive high customer satisfaction by ensuring service quality, adherence to SLAs, and ongoing performance monitoring.
• QA & Integration: Partner with R&D to validate and integrate new product features in live environments.
• Operational Methodologies: Design and implement scalable operational processes and best practices to support international growth.
• Safety & Compliance: Guarantee compliance with global safety standards and regulations, including those related to working at heights.
• Resource Management: Lead operational planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and continuous efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience managing field operations for robotics or complex capital equipment systems.
• Strong technical foundation in multidisciplinary systems spanning mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
• Proven success in building and scaling global field operations teams.
• Experience supervising engineers, QA professionals, and field technicians.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across cultures.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.
• Experience working at heights – an advantage
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering – an advantage.
