Information Technology Risk Manager

Mertens - MalamTeam is hiring an experienced IT Risk Manager to join a major government organization in Modi’in.

Role Overview

The position involves full responsibility for managing IT risk across the organization. You will help ensure the stable, secure, and resilient operation of all information systems, while maintaining compliance with cybersecurity policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards. The role includes conducting comprehensive risk assessments, defining methodologies, supporting strategic projects, and providing risk reports to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Lead organizational IT risk management, including identification, assessment, monitoring, and control of technology risks.
• Conduct annual risk mapping processes, prepare reports and risk scenarios for senior management.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, information security, regulation, and audit teams.
• Support major technology projects through risk management during design, development, and implementation stages.
• Develop and implement methodologies, tools, and procedures for identifying and mitigating IT risks.
• Manage real-time risk events (Risk Treatment) and track remediation progress.
• Provide management reports and recommendations regarding technological and business exposures.

Requirements

• 3+ years of proven experience in IT Risk Management, Information Security, or IT Audit – mandatory.
• Experience in auditing IT, cybersecurity, or infrastructure environments.
• Experience implementing risk management methodologies, frameworks, or policies in large organizations.
• Experience deploying tools or infrastructures for risk management.
• Hands-on experience supporting or leading large-scale technology projects (PMO background – advantage).
• Proven ability to produce professional risk reports and present findings to senior management.
