Role Description

This full-time System Architect role is located in Kfar Saba with a hybrid work model, allowing some work-from-home flexibility. The System Architect will design and develop comprehensive system architectures, facilitate systems integration, and engineer robust systems to meet client needs. Day-to-day tasks involve collaborating with software development teams, ensuring cohesive system design and execution, and guiding clients through architectural decisions to improve their business performance.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

Years of Experience (Minimum Required):

• 5+ years of experience in planning and building complex cloud systems.
• 2+ years of proven experience as a System Architect.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Systems or equivalent relevant experience.

Mandatory Requirements (Technologies and Tools):

• Expertise in GCP (High Priority): Including Organization Policies, IAM, VPC/VPC-SC, Cloud NAT/Firewall, Cloud DNS, Private Service Connect, Cloud KMS/Secret Manager, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, BigQuery, GCS, Cloud Composer/Workflows.
• Networking and Communication: Deep understanding of communication protocols (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP/S, TLS) and routing (LB).
• Information Security: Proven experience in designing secure solutions (IAM, Encryption/CMEK, Zero Trust, Network Segmentation, DLP, API Security).
• Infra as Code: Direct experience with Terraform (including module organization, State strategy, and Deployment).
• Documentation: Ability to write and present high-level architecture documents (C4 diagrams, ADRs).
• Language Proficiency: High proficiency in Hebrew and English (speaking, reading, and writing).

Responsibilities and Relevant Background:

• Planning multi-layered cloud architecture (GCP-first) – separation into environments (Dev/Test/Prod), organization/folder/project hierarchy, Multi-Project.
• Planning advanced network and communication (VPCs, Subnets, VPC Service Controls).
• Leading Terraform (modularization, state separation, OIDC for GCP).
• Planning Data Architecture in GCP: BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Orchestration.
• Implementing Data Governance & Compliance (cataloging, data classification, RLS/CLS).
• Planning a secure API Platform (Apigee / API Gateway, OAuth2/OIDC).
• Implementing Observability and Reliability (SLI/SLO, Cloud Monitoring/Logging).

Significant Advantages (Recommended Interview Topics):

• Relevant cloud certifications (GCP Professional Cloud Architect / Data Engineer, AWS/Azure).
• Experience with Kubernetes/GKE, Docker, and CI/CD solutions.
• Experience with integration with identity systems (Cloud Identity/Okta/Azure AD, SAML/OIDC).
• Hands-on development experience (Python/Go/TypeScript) for infrastructure/data components.
• Experience with FinOps (optimizing BigQuery Slots, managing GCS/Networking costs).
