Chief Financial Officer

An innovative Start-up company in the field of silicon photonics, solving a major obstacle for the next-generation data center co-packaged switches, is seeking a strategic and dynamic Chief Financial Officer to join our innovative hardware startup.

The CFO will oversee all financial aspects of the company, driving growth, ensuring financial health, and supporting our vision with robust financial planning and analysis. This leadership role requires a hands-on executive tasked with building scalable financial processes, securing funding, and advising on strategic initiatives, including taking the company public or preparing it for sale. Responsibilities

- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company goals.

- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

- Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and compliance.

- Lead capital raising efforts, including investor relations and funding rounds.

- Monitor cash flow and optimize working capital.

- Assess financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.

- Prepare the company for IPO, acquisition, or other liquidity events, including financial audits, compliance, and process enhancements.

- Collaborate with the executive team to shape product development, market expansion, and operational efficiencies.

- Build and lead a high-performing finance team as the company scales.

- Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and tax requirements.

Required Skills

- Proven experience as a CFO or similar leadership role in a startup or hardware industry.

- Demonstrated success in preparing a company for an IPO or sale, including managing financial audits, compliance, and investor due diligence.

- Strong understanding of financial modeling, accounting principles, and financial analysis.

- Experience with fundraising, investor relations, and managing financial negotiations.

- Excellent knowledge of corporate finance laws and regulations.

- Ability to develop detailed financial reports and analyze complex data.

- Proven track record of scaling financial operations in a fast-paced environment.
