Goldman Sachs Asset Management invests in the full spectrum of alternatives, including private equity, growth equity, private credit, real estate and infrastructure. Since 2003 the Growth Equity business within Goldman Sachs Asset Management comprising more than 65 individuals has invested over $16 billion in companies led by visionary founders and CEOs. We focus exclusively on investments in growth stage and technology-driven companies spanning multiple industries, including enterprise technology, financial technology and healthcare.

GROWTH EQUITY INVESTING

RESPONSIBIITIES

Associates in Growth Equity Investing will be integrally involved with all aspects of the investment cycle including:

• Sourcing, identifying and evaluating attractive investment themes and opportunities;
• Building relationships with management teams, senior advisors and external industry experts;
• Performing due diligence;
• Financing and closing investments as well as developing, monitoring and implementing value creation strategies at our existing portfolio companies
  
  

We are looking for a team member who will thrive in a lean organization, operating in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant graduate degree a plus
• Have an excellent academic and professional record
• Between 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, growth equity / VC, management consulting or a relevant operating role in enterprise software
• We are looking for a highly motivated, well-rounded, team player who is passionate about investing and wants to build a long-term career at Goldman Sachs

• Passionate and intellectually curious about technology and growth equity investing
• Eager to learn about tech markets, new concepts and trends with a focus on enterprise software
• Details oriented, self-starter, and able to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast paced environment
• Consistently taking the initiative to drive progress and working past obstacles to achieve exceptional outcomes
• Entrepreneurial and tenacious, work effectively under pressure and keen to take on responsibility
• High integrity, ambition, and a collaborative approach
• Strong relationship-building and networking skills. Ability to interact and build relationships with a wide range of people
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Financial analysis/modelling experience with robust analytical/problem-solving skills
