Software Engineering Team Lead

A fintech startup is developing a cloud-based SaaS platform for managing investment portfolios, serving global financial institutions that oversee assets worth trillions of dollars and transforming the industry into a modern, digital-first approach.

The platform provides solutions for a wide range of financial products, including mutual funds, ETFs, hedge funds, insurance products, and pension funds, enabling automation, streamlined workflows, and collaboration across different units and companies in portfolio management and administration.

Located in Tel Aviv near the train line, the company has around 200 employees and operates a hybrid model with one day of work from home. Founded seven years ago, the company has completed multiple funding rounds, raising over $150M, most recently a Series C.

Role Overview:

• Build a new development squad from scratch, including recruiting team members (expected size: 6 developers)
• 50% hands-on development
• Team structure: squad-based, reporting to the Group Head
• Development entirely in Java, working with cloud-based microservices

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in leading R&D teams in fast paced environments
• 5 years of experience in software engineering
• Solid proficiency in modern Java/C++/C#
• Experience developing large, scalable, distributed information systems using a microservices architecture.
• Mastery of high-performance, reentrant, and efficient code
• Competency working with state-of-the-art source control management and CI tools.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
• Computer Science degree(s) from leading universities and/or technological intelligence units graduate
