Postdoc position in Computation Chemistry and Materials.

The computational laboratory at the Department of Chemical Science at Ariel University in Israel, led by Prof. Dr. Haya Kornweitz, is looking for a Postdoc to conduct computational research surface catalysis, nanoparticles, and other aspects in inorganic chemistry. The candidate will join a well-established, enthusiastic group of scientists who are focused on a theoretical understanding and practical application of catalytic and electro-catalytic processes. The research is interdisciplinary and is done in collaboration with top experimentalists. Ariel University offers a collaborative research environment and features state-of-the-art in-site computer facilities, including HPC. A full competitive scholarship and subsidized accommodation are offered to prospective candidates in this program.

 Required Qualifications:

·        A successful PhD degree in Chemistry, Chemical Physics, or Material Sciences.

·        Former studies and experience in computational chemistry/materials and a first principal understanding.

·        Experience in solid-state computation (VASP or similar programs) and other relevant

 software.

·        Proficiency in computational modeling, data analysis, and simulation.

·        Strong background in scientific research and writing.

·        A strong passion for gaining new insight into science.
