Summary

As a subcontractor manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of subcontractor relationships, from selection and negotiation to ongoing performance management and closeout, ensuring compliance with contracts, budgets, and project timelines. Key responsibilities include developing subcontracting strategies, evaluating proposals, negotiating contract terms, mitigating risks, managing relationships with both internal teams and external vendors, and ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and legal requirements.

As the NPI Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of multiple New Product Introduction projects, from R&D final steps to prototype and full production. The NPI manager will be responsible for transferring R&D high-level product design & scope into a detailed design project (with Gantt milestones), integrating and coordinating all stakeholders' inputs into production instructions, and engaging the relevant manufacturer to launch the newly developed products at the customer site.

This position plays a critical role in achieving business goals. And ensuring the smooth transition of SMARTECH products from the R&D validation laboratory to manufacturing subcontractors, and keeping a good reputation among customers and suppliers.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Subcontractor Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire process of subcontracts, including pre-proposal, proposal preparation, negotiation, execution, and closeout.
• Performance & Risk Management: Monitor subcontractor performance to meet project goals, identify and mitigate potential business risks, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, project managers, and external subcontractors
• Design for manufacturability – responsibility for defining all equipment, suppliers, and subcontractors for the scale-up process.
• Develop, define, and implement manufacturing processes and mechanical tools into the production line.
• Have full ownership of the prototype “end to end”
• Manage and support configuration control, BOM components, and the Catalog of parts.
• Strategy & Planning: Assist in developing strategies for subcontracting, defining precise requirements, and creating project-specific plans.
• Manufacturing Readiness: Oversee the transition of products to manufacturing, ensuring that production processes are ready for new product launches
• Part of the preparation and execution of the systems approval tests team on manufacturing sites.
• Performs special projects as assigned.
  
  

• B.Sc. degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Mechanical, or similar Engineering.
• 5 years or more of experience in processing industries, preferably in global companies.
• Knowledge in Project Management tools (Gantt Charts, Risk management, Control etc.)
• Experience in production and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with technical documentation, mechanical designs, and assemblies, working with full-turn contract manufacturers.
• Experience in managing manufacturers and suppliers across multiple sites.
• Experience as an NPI Eng of process or large-scale multidisciplinary products industry -an advantage.
• Technical experience with SolidWorks – an advantage.
• Project Management course, a P.M.P certification - an advantage.
• Experience with Priority ERP - an advantage.
