Senior Product UX/UI Designer

Opmed.ai is an innovative startup dedicated to improving the efficiency and resilience of healthcare operations. Our mission is to help healthcare providers deliver better patient care by optimizing planning, scheduling, and operations using AI, Network Science, and advanced optimization algorithms.

We’re looking for a Senior Product UX/UI Designer to join our product team and help shape the next generation of our platform. This is a high-impact role where your design decisions will directly influence how healthcare professionals engage with technology and data.

What You’ll Do

• Lead end-to-end product design — from discovery and ideation to high-fidelity design and delivery.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and clinical experts to craft intuitive, elegant, and scalable experiences.
• Translate complex healthcare operations workflows into clear, user-centered interfaces that optimize functionality and usability.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and data-driven design iterations to ensure the product truly meets user needs.
• Establish and evolve our design system and visual language, ensuring consistency and accessibility across the platform.
• Advocate for design excellence, user empathy, and product thinking across the organization.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in UX/Product Design, with a proven track record of designing and shipping successful B2B SaaS products — ideally in data-heavy and AI environments.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating experience designing complex web applications (not just marketing sites or mobile apps).
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture, with hands-on experience building design systems, mastering core UX principles (simplification, usability, hierarchy), and demonstrating strong UI craft in layout, typography, clarity, and interaction.
• Expertise in modern design tools (Figma, or similar).
• A bias toward action: you can move projects forward with clarity and independence, even in ambiguous situations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills — able to partner effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• Proven ability to work fast without sacrificing quality — comfortable delivering high-impact work in short cycles and iterating quickly based on feedback.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and compliance considerations.
• Experience designing for data visualization and analytics tools.
• Familiarity with vibe coding tools (Figma Make, Claude, Lovable, or similar).
• Background in healthcare, operations workflows, or health tech design.
• Experience in a design leadership roles.
