IT and DevOps specialist

About the Role

ISOC-IL is seeking a skilled IT and DevOps Specialist to join our infrastructure and operations team.

This position involves hands-on work with virtualization, storage, and automation systems that form the backbone of Israel’s internet infrastructure.

We’re looking for a professional with a strong technical background, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for stability, scalability, and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, troubleshoot virtualization, docker and storage systems.
• Configure and maintain system monitoring for performance, availability, and security.
• Write and troubleshoot shell and python scripts.
• Write and troubleshoot yaml for ansible playbooks, docker compose etc.
• Design, Install, configure, and maintain systems in Linux Environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a system administrator.
• Proven experience in managing virtual environments. (Vmware/HyperV/Nutanix/KVM).
• Proven experience in managing monitoring systems (Zabbix - advantage).
• Proven experience managing storage systems (NetApp - advantage).
• Knowledge and Experience in scripting (Bash/PowerShell/Python etc). 
• Experience in configuring and maintaining Linux servers - advantage. 
• Experience with micro services (docker/podman/k8s) - advantage.
• Experience or familiarity with Infrastructure as code (Ansible/Terraform) - advantage.
• Experience in managing network and security devices - advantage.
• Courses in system, networking, information security, and DevOps - strong advantage.
• Academic degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field - advantage.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
