Frontend Team Leader

We are looking for a team leader to take on all leadership responsibilities within the Player team, driving and maintaining high standards of performance and functionality. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, responsive and intuitive user experiences.

In this role, you'll lead the frontend team while actively contributing to the development of front-end components from ideation through design, implementation and deployment. You’ll lead core decisions and implementation efforts within the team including enhancing the scalability of our frontend codebase, mentoring developers, coordinating project timelines, and establishing code quality standards across the team.

This is a high-impact position where user experience is paramount. You'll be expected to maintain our user-focused standards across UX design, application logic, and performance optimization while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver features and manage releases.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Lead a team of 3 frontend developers while actively developing frontend infrastructure, architecture and product features
• Deliver high-quality, scalable SaaS applications rapidly using modern technologies for global audiences
• Analyze and improve existing software to enhance performance, UX and functionality through continuous optimization
• Research and implement new technologies to improve scale and performance while promoting innovative product improvements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage requirements and solve complex technical problems at architecture, code, and product levels

REQUIREMENTS 

• +6 consecutive years of experience in Vanilla JS (this is non negotiable)
• 2 years of previous team leader experience (you've done this before and genuinely enjoy leading a team)
• Strong understanding of Chrome developer webtools - a must
• Expertise in developing mobile-responsive web applications
• Proficient with browser APIs and optimizing front-end performance
• Strong collaboration skills - you thrive on collaborative brainstorming and working closely with your team to develop ideas and think of solutions together
