Role Description
This is an on-site full-time role for a System Engineering Technician focused on performing experiments, developing test setup automation and maintenance, and results analysis.
- Not intended as entry-level for BSc graduates
- Employment via an external HR contractor
Responsibilities
- Configure and operate LiDAR units and test equipment
- Develop/maintain custom LiDAR test equipment and automation: LiDAR Python API, gimbal, cart movement
- Data capture automation, processing and visualization in Python
- Plan and execute experiments and test drives under varied environmental conditions and test scenarios
- Present and document results to stakeholders
- Troubleshoot issues with firmware, system engineering and optics teams
- Experimental and analysis support of version and feature release process
Required Qualifications
- Experience with lab test equipment
- Proficiency in Python for data acquisition/analysis
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
- (Advantage) Experience with optical or RF systems
