Storage Specialist

Mertens - MalamTeam is hiring an experienced Backup and Storage Specialist to join a leading organization in the Shfela region.

Role Overview

This position involves managing, maintaining, and implementing advanced backup and storage environments across complex enterprise systems. The role includes responsibility for central backup systems, storage infrastructures, and virtualized environments, ensuring data protection, recovery, and high availability.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise backup systems (Commvault, TSM, NetBackup, Networker, Rubrik).
• Perform system maintenance, data restorations, and database backups (SQL Server, Exchange, Oracle).
• Implement and manage enterprise storage solutions (HITACHI, IBM, EMC, NetApp).
• Perform performance tuning and configure complex SAN environments (Brocade/Cisco).
• Work with Windows, Linux, UNIX, and VMware ESX environments.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams and business units to ensure system reliability and performance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of proven experience in backup and storage systems – mandatory.
• Experience with Object Storage systems – advantage.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a systemic perspective.
• Quick learner with high work ethic and strong teamwork skills.
• Technical English proficiency (written and verbal) for support and documentation purposes.
