Founding Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior AI Software Developer to join as a founding team engineer in our AI-first R&D company. This is a unique opportunity to shape the technical foundation, architecture, and culture of a company built around AI. You will work in a value creation fintech company, collaborating closely with customers to design and deliver intelligent, production-ready systems that replace manual processes with scalable AI-driven automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Be a founding engineer, helping shape the company’s AI-first product and technical direction.

• Talk to customers, understand their needs, and design AI automations and agents.

• Design and build end-to-end AI-powered systems, from data handling to production deployment.

• Build and maintain TypeScript/NestJS backend services to support scalable AI features.

• Contribute to React frontend code to deliver seamless product experiences.

• Apply DevOps skills to deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud-based AI systems.

• Ensure robust system architecture, observability, and CI/CD pipelines for reliable operation.

• Collaborate closely with product and leadership to impact and shape the product roadmap through technical insights and execution.

• Contribute to company-wide engineering practices and mentor future hires.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.

• Strong skills in backend languages: Python, TypeScript, Java, or Go.

• Solid understanding of system architecture and distributed systems.

• Proven track record in deploying production systems with CI/CD and observability in place.

• Experience working with AI developer tools such as Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code, or similar.

• Excellent communication skills and experience engaging with customers.

• Prior experience working in a startup environment, with adaptability to fast-changing priorities.

• Strong problem-solving ability and eagerness to work in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience in fintech or enterprise domains.

• Experience building AI agents.

• Prior experience as a founding engineer or early startup contributor.
