Missile and Space Systems Division is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer to join its Structural and Dynamics Department.

The position includes:

Performing strength and dynamics analyses using finite element software
Conducting structural justifications with detailed strength calculations
Planning and supporting strength and dynamics tests

What we’re looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Aeronautical Engineering – required
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in solid mechanics or dynamics – advantage
At least 2 years of experience in strength and dynamics analysis
Proven knowledge and experience in strength and dynamics calculations – required
Experience in strength and dynamics analysis using finite element software – required
Familiarity with PATRAN, NASTRAN, MARC – advantage
Experience with strength calculations and analyses for composite structures – advantage
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Good to know:

MLM is part of the Missile and Space Systems Division, delivering solutions, systems, and products in missile systems, space technology, communications, and navigation. The Structural and Dynamics Department is responsible for structural justification in strength and dynamics for a variety of projects. The work is highly collaborative, integrating with design, aerodynamics, heat transfer, and environmental teams to meet project requirements and timelines. In addition to using advanced analysis software, the role requires a solid understanding of structural analysis principles and the ability to perform quick classical calculations.
