Senior System Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior System Engineer to take technical ownership and play a key role in shaping the architecture, functionality, and performance of our advanced surgical system.

• Take end-to-end technical ownership of multidisciplinary system development- from concept to verification and validation.

• Lead the definition, refinement, and maintenance of system- and sub-system-level requirements.

• Define and optimize system architecture in collaboration with mechanical, electronics, and software teams.

• Conduct technical feasibility studies and translate user and clinical needs into engineering requirements.

• Perform and document risk management activities throughout the product lifecycle.

• Drive design integration, ensuring coherence between system elements and interfaces.

• Lead root cause analysis and implement robust, long-term corrective actions.

• Ensure compliance with design control and regulatory standards (FDA, EU).

• Contribute to continuous improvement of system engineering processes and best practices.

• Support regulatory submissions and participate in technical audits.

• 5+ years of experience in the development of complex multidisciplinary products.

• 2+ years of experience in systems engineering within the medical device field.

• B.Sc / M.Sc Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering from a leading university.

• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary systems including mechanics, electronics, and software.

• Excellent knowledge of system lifecycle phases, design control, and risk management processes.

• Deep familiarity with systems engineering methodologies, requirements definition, and traceability.

• Proficiency in FDA Quality System Regulations, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971, with strong emphasis on design controls.

• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

• High level of technical ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.

• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment with changing priorities.

• M.Sc in Systems Engineering.

• Experience in medical software or embedded systems development.

• Experience in EMC and electrical safety certifications.
