Training and Communication Specialist – Information Security (Remote)

Full time, United States, Canada

The Information Security team is seeking a creative and tech-savvy Training and Communication Specialist to lead the development and delivery of engaging security awareness content. This role is responsible for designing impactful training programs, managing internal security communications, and maintaining the security intranet presence. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in multimedia tools and visual storytelling, with a strong understanding of how to communicate complex security topics in a clear and engaging way.

As a Training and Communication Specialist – Information Security, you will

• Design and deliver engaging security training for employees using a variety of formats (e.g., video, e-learning, live sessions)
• Create internal and external communications to promote security awareness, initiatives, and best practices
• Maintain and update the Information Security intranet site, ensuring content is current, relevant, and user-friendly
• Develop visually compelling materials using tools such as PowerPoint, Canva, Synthesia, and other media platforms
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate technical content into clear, engaging messaging
• Support global awareness campaigns, phishing simulations, and compliance training rollouts
• Track and report on training effectiveness and engagement metrics
• Ensure all content aligns with brand, tone, and compliance standards
  
  

About You

• Prior experience in training, communications, or a related field—preferably in cybersecurity or IT
• Strong understanding of information security principles and the ability to communicate them effectively to diverse audiences
• Proven ability to create high-quality multimedia content (videos, presentations, infographics)
• Proficiency with tools such as Canva, Synthesia, PowerPoint, and video editing platforms
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
• Experience managing intranet content (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence, or similar platforms)
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design is a plus

The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Training and Communication Specialist – Information Security is between $60,000 and $65,000. The pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
