Founding CTO / Technical Partner – BioAge (Equity-based at the beginning)

BioAge is a digital health startup redefining how we measure and understand human aging.

In collaboration with the Weizmann Institute of Science and Barzilai Medical Center, BioAge is developing a breakthrough platform that estimates biological age and health status using data from smartphones and smartwatches.

By combining medical signal processing, AI, and wearable sensing, BioAge transforms everyday devices into validated health assessment tools.

Our mission is simple: make early detection and personalized longevity insights accessible to everyone.

This is a founding, equity-based, full-time on-site (or hybrid) role located in the Tel Aviv District, Israel.

The Founding CTO / Technical Partner will lead the company’s technical vision, architecture, and product development from the ground up.

In the pre-funding stage, this role is fully hands-on — building the first versions of the mobile app, data pipelines, and AI algorithms.

The CTO will collaborate with world-class research and clinical partners, shape the product roadmap, and later build and lead the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of BioAge’s mobile, backend, and AI systems.
• Implement signal processing and machine learning pipelines for wearable data (PPG, IMU, BIA, etc.).
• Build a secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and manage data integrity.
• Work closely with the CEO, clinical partners, and researchers to translate science into product.
• Establish the company’s technical culture, roadmap, and long-term architecture.

• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience, including mobile and backend systems.
• Proven ability to build full-stack prototypes (mobile, server, and AI) independently.
• Strong background in signal processing, biomedical data, or machine learning.
• Experience with wearable devices or sensor-based data — significant advantage.
• Knowledge of IT architecture, data security, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience in project management and product development in a startup environment.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Passion for health technology, innovation, and measurable real-world impact.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
