Head of AI Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on leader to drive the implementation of AI technologies that improve how developers work day to day. This role is at the intersection of technology, product, and organizational change. You will work closely with engineering managers and developers to embed AI tools into everyday workflows, integrate them into existing toolchains, and ensure solutions are both reliable and widely adopted.

The ideal candidate combines technical depth with product thinking and customer empathy—ensuring that solutions are not only technically sound but also deliver tangible value to engineering teams.

Location: This is an on-site role; remote work is not an option.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead up and down: Drive change at all levels—educating management on AI’s potential while working hands-on with developers to ensure adoption.
• Subject matter expertise: Serve as the organizational expert on AI-enabled developer productivity, advising leadership, coaching teams, and defining best practices.
• Integration into workflows: Connect AI solutions with CI/CD pipelines, IDEs, code review systems, and knowledge bases.
• Benchmarking: Continuously evaluate external AI tools, platforms, and practices to ensure we adopt the best-performing solutions.
• Lead by example: Demonstrate value through personal use of AI tools, recommending solutions based on real-world application.
• Adoption & iteration: Partner with engineering managers to encourage adoption, collect feedback, and iterate on solutions.
• Evaluate & integrate new tools: Research and pilot emerging AI tools, adopting those that measurably improve developer productivity.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience, including:

3+ years in software engineering.

2+ years in technical leadership or team management.

3+ years in product ownership, or customer-facing roles in tech.

• Strong technical background with DevOps/developer toolchains (CI/CD, GitHub/GitLab, containers, server management).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proven experience driving tech adoption and innovation.
• Experience rolling out AI-assisted coding tools in enterprise settings.
• Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) in developer workflows.
