New Product Introduction Lead

One of our clients, a fast-growing startup in the robotics and AI sector, is looking to hire an NPI & Production Lead. The company develops autonomous robotic platforms that use advanced computer vision and cloud-based analytics to improve safety and efficiency in building maintenance. They operate in a hybrid work model and are based in Tel Aviv.

Job Overview:

The NPI & Production Lead will take full ownership of the transition from R&D to scalable production. This is a strategic operational role responsible for managing the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, leading assembly and support technicians, and handling the supply chain and procurement processes for building complex robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the entire NPI process, ensuring a smooth transition of robotic systems from R&D to production.
• Manage and mentor a small team of assembly and technical support technicians (2 direct reports).
• Handle the purchasing of hardware components, including supplier engagement and negotiation.
• Maintain production documentation (BOMs, assembly instructions, quality procedures).
• Enforce Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) practices.
• Oversee daily assembly, testing, and repair operations.
• Manage inventory, stock levels, and production logistics.
• Conduct supplier quality audits and resolve production or quality issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BSc in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
• 3–5 years of experience in NPI, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Background in procurement and supply chain management.
• Previous experience managing a team of technicians or operators.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, plastics, sheet metal) and quality control.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with robotics or complex electromechanical systems.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and quality standards like ISO 9001.
• Proficiency with technical documentation systems.
