Senior Backend Lead - First Developer

Location: Tel Aviv, Hybrid

We're a new, well-funded FinTech startup creating a groundbreaking technological product designed to serve our investors. This is a unique opportunity to join us as our first backend developer and become the architect of our system from the ground up. This role is at the heart of our company, and you'll have the chance to shape our architecture, influence our technology stack, and lay the foundation for our future engineering team.

What you'll do:

• Build the core technology of our platform from scratch. The primary product will be a system for real-time financial market data analysis, operations, and investment support.
• Design and establish advanced Big Data infrastructure for financial research and analysis.
• Design, develop, and deploy our cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) to ensure the system is secure, scalable, and provides optimal service for our investors.
• Take full ownership of the backend roadmap, working closely with management to define goals, plan development, and deliver advanced technological solutions.
• Act as a technical leader and mentor, setting the engineering standards for the company.

What we're looking for:

• 7+ years of experience as a backend developer
• Proven track record of building complex systems from scratch.
• Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including a deep understanding of cloud-native architectures.
• Knowledge and experience developing software in the FinTech or investment space is a significant advantage.
• A deep understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and relational/NoSQL databases.
• Experience working with Big Data platforms - a strong advantage.
• Experience working with high-throughput / real-time systems - a strong advantage.
• The ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
