A cutting-edge Israeli biotechnology company, with a strong foundation in agricultural innovation, is expanding into the pharmaceutical domain.

We are seeking a #VP_bd to join the leadership team, drive the establishment of this new pharma-focused business, and leverage the company’s proven technological and agricultural expertise into global partnerships in the pharma industry.

#Responsibilities:

📌 Build and expand the company’s new pharma business domain, leveraging its strong agricultural and life science foundation.

📌 Identify and lead strategic partnerships with global players in the pharma, biotech, and academia, including joint ventures, and collaborative R&D agreements.

📌 Develop business models and value propositions for AI-based discovery platforms and science-driven technologies.

📌 Manage commercial negotiations, contracts, and complex deal structures for technology transactions.

📌 Collaborate closely with R&D, regulatory, marketing, and executive teams to translate scientific innovations into marketable solutions.

Requirements

📌 Proven track record in Business Development within pharma, biotech, academia, or AI-driven life science technology companies, with direct experience in leading and closing complex international deals (licensing, partnerships, joint ventures).

📌 Strong scientific and technological understanding of small-molecule drug discovery, AI-based discovery platforms, or computational chemistry tools, with the ability to translate innovation into clear business value.

📌 Established network of industry contacts across pharma, biotech and AI-biotech, with demonstrated ability to initiate and grow strategic collaborations) including academia, private companies, and instrumentation/technology firms)

📌 Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (native or near-native level), including the ability to represent the company globally in negotiations and at conferences.

📌 Advanced academic degree (M.Sc. or PhD) in life sciences, biotechnology, chemistry, or a related field – or equivalent combination of scientific knowledge and business experience.

#Ideal_Candidate_Profile

The ideal candidate is a seasoned business development leader with hands-on experience in the pharma or biotech industry, capable of building a new domain within an established organization.

They bring proven expertise in structuring and closing international technology deals, translating AI-driven innovation into business strategies, and forging collaborations with leading global industry players.

#Location: Rehovot / Hybrid (one day per week from home)
