About the Role

We’re looking for a Junior Data Engineer to help build the backbone of Obol’s data platform. You’ll support designing pipelines, scaling integrations, and ensuring our systems power real-time insights and automation. This is a hands-on role with mentorship in a fast-moving environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for batch and real-time ingestion.
• Develop and optimize integrations with banks, ERPs, and payment systems.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Ensure best practices in testing, monitoring, and performance.

What We’re Looking For

• Python expertise (1–2 years) and solid SQL skills, including data modeling and optimization.
• Analytical mindset and eagerness to uncover insights from data.
• Curious and willing to learn to leverage AI tools for development.

Nice to Have

• Experience with financial data, ERP, or banking integrations.
• Experience with real-time and batch ingestion, APIs, and authentication.
• Background in a startup or high-ownership environment.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools (Meltano, Airflow, dbt).
