The Bio-process scientist is responsible for support development and execution of fermentation and downstream processes to produce proteins for the diagnostics industry. You will participate in design and execution of methods, daily activities, and coordinate work activities through collaboration with technical experts, management team and project leads. The role includes manufacturing as well as development environments.

This position reports to the manager, product development and is part of the research and development center located in Rehovot, Israel and will be an on-site role.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To:

• Support fermentation process operations for manufacturing and developing products.
• Operate and maintain fermenters and related equipment, including assembly, sterilization and set up.
• Participate in development, scale up and execute fermentation processes to meet production targets and quality standards
• Support downstream process
• Participate in technical discussions and decision-making processes.
  
  

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or a related field
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in fermentation processes and bioprocessing
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining fermenters and related bioprocessing equipment.
• Experience in downstream processes is highly desirable
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards related to fermentation processes -advantage
• Good level of English (written and verbal communication skills)
  
  

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Writing of SOPs and Wis
• Working in large organizations
