Full Stack Engineer - FOUNDING TEAM

One of our clients, an early-stage fintech startup, is looking to hire a Full-Stack Engineer (Backend Focus) to join their founding team as the first engineering hire. This company is developing an innovative solution in the AI/ML infrastructure space, helping financial institutions ensure consistency across their mission-critical systems — from fraud detection to lending operations. Unlike tools that only monitor model accuracy, their platform monitors the stability of full applications to catch inconsistencies before they lead to regulatory or customer-impacting issues.

This is a rare opportunity to join a founding team and help build the technology stack from the ground up. The ideal candidate is passionate about scalable backend systems but is also comfortable building simple frontend components. You’ll work closely with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to bring AI/ML systems into robust, production-grade environments.

What You’ll Do:

• Build backend services and APIs for a platform monitoring AI/ML-driven business logic.
• Design and implement a secure, scalable microservices architecture from scratch.
• Create lightweight frontend interfaces to enable customer interaction with the system.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with data and ML teams to integrate AI/ML into production.
• Own features end-to-end — from architecture and design through deployment.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of backend development experience (Node.js, Python, Java, or similar).
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Bonus: Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
• Startup mindset and enthusiasm for building foundational technology from scratch.
