System Engineer – Electro-Optical Systems | Defense Industry

Responsibilities

• System engineering for the development of electro-optical systems (HUD for pilots)
• Define and manage system-level requirements
• Lead design reviews and technical discussions
• Drive multidisciplinary development processes: electronics, optics, mechanics, firmware/software
• Collaborate closely with internal R&D teams, business units, and international customers (aircraft manufacturers, aerospace companies)
• Lead system integration and testing activities

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Optics or Aerospace Engineering – mandatory
• M.Sc. in Systems Engineering, Electro-Optics, Electrical Engineering or Physics – advantage
• At least 4 years of experience in system engineering or multidisciplinary product development – mandatory
• Strong system-level thinking and technical leadership
• Excellent teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Proven ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary engineering teams
• High-level proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing) – mandatory
• Experience working with international customers – advantage
• Experience in technical project leadership within a matrix organization – advantage
• Background in electro-optical systems development – advantage
• Experience with proposal writing / RFI / RFP responses – advantage
• Familiarity with DOORS or other system engineering tools – advantage
• Knowledge of MATLAB and/or Python – advantage
• Willingness to travel abroad (up to 5–10%)
