DevOps Team Lead

We’re looking for a hands-on DevOps Team Lead to drive our infrastructure forward and lead a high-performing global team. Role Overview

As the DevOps Team Lead, you’ll be at the center of NoviSign’s R&D operations, ensuring security, reliability, and scalability across our AWS-based infrastructure, container platforms (ECS, EKS), and development pipelines.

You’ll balance technical ownership and people leadership: managing and mentoring engineers while staying deeply involved in architecture, automation, and security-driven solutions. Reporting directly to the VP R&D, this role is ideal for a leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments.

What You"ll Be Doing

• Manage and mentor a distributed team of DevOps engineers.
• Improve and optimize existing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Maven).
• Architect AWS-based cloud deployment strategies for performance, resilience, and cost efficiency.
• Drive Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) adoption across environments.
• Maintain and secure Kubernetes (EKS) clusters and containerized runtime environments on ECS.
• Implement and monitor alerting & observability systems (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Define and execute scaling tactics for AWS workloads.
• Enforce cloud security best practices, IAM governance, and compliance controls.
• Proactively evaluate emerging DevOps, security, and cloud-native tools.
• Troubleshoot and support critical issues in staging and production environments.

Infrastructure & Cloud Operations

• Oversee secure, scalable, and resilient staging and production environments.
• Conduct architecture reviews with a focus on cost optimization and security posture.
• Lead incident response and ensure high availability and business continuity.
• Enforce infrastructure standards, security policies, and operational procedures.

Dev Tooling & CI/CD

• Own the lifecycle of developer infrastructure (Git, secrets management, artifact repos).
• Continuously optimize CI/CD pipelines.
• Standardize Kubernetes-based deployments (EKS) and manage ECS workloads.
• Implement GitOps practices to streamline deployments.
• Provide secure, reliable tooling that empowers developers with autonomy and velocity.

Technical guidance

• Provide design/code reviews and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Champion Infrastructure-as-Code, Security-by-Design, and DevSecOps culture.
• Stay ahead of cloud-native trends, emerging threats, and security frameworks.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a DevOps Team Leader/Manager.
• 5+ years of hands-on DevOps/Infrastructure Engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in AWS services (EKS, ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, WAF, GuardDuty, etc.).
• Proven experience managing secure production environments at scale.
• Expertise in alerting & monitoring systems for cloud environments.
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash) and automation expertise (Terraform).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Maven).
• Strong understanding of networking and security concepts: load balancing, DNS, routing, firewalls, encryption, and compliance.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with a record of cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with developer tooling, including secrets management and artifact repositories.
