Laboratory Operations Manager

Company Description

The Mycobacterial Infections Research Laboratory at Rambam, affiliated with the Technion Faculty of Medicine, studies host–pathogen interactions in mycobacterial lung infections. We bridge basic and translational research using microbiology, omics, genetic tools, and live-cell approaches to uncover mechanisms of infection and inflammation.

Role Description

This is an on-site role for a Laboratory Operations Manager located in Haifa. The Laboratory Manager/Researcher will be responsible for overseeing daily laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining laboratory equipment. The position involves overseeing daily lab operations, designing and executing experiments, and supporting projects to ensure efficient workflow and accurate results. The role also includes mentoring students, and fostering collaboration with clinical and academic partners across Rambam Health Care Campus and the Technion.

Qualifications

• PhD (or higher) in microbiology, molecular biology, cell biology, or a related discipline
• Proven experience in experimental research, with a strong technical background in microbiology and molecular biology techniques
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; experience mentoring students is an advantage
• Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary research environment
• Attention to detail, initiative, and a commitment to scientific excellence
