Utilities Designer in the Utilities Coordination Department

Position Overview

This role serves as the central planning axis of the Utilities Coordination Department. The designer is responsible for producing, updating, and managing utilities plans for complex transportation projects, utilizing advanced tools in AutoCAD Civil 3D and BIM.

Key Responsibilities

·        Develop detailed utilities plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D in accordance with standards and client requirements.

·        Apply advanced BIM modeling for management and coordination across various disciplines (utilities, electricity, water, communications, etc.).

·        Perform cross-sections, layouts, and engineering coordination between different project systems.

·        Provide engineering and design support to project management teams, authorities, and consultants.

·        Manage project files and update plans according to field changes or client requirements.

·        Participate in planning and coordination meetings with engineers, authorities, and clients.

Requirements

·        Civil engineering degree or practical engineer diploma with specialization in transportation

infrastructure.

·        Full proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D – mandatory.

·        Proven experience working with BIM models – mandatory.

·        Minimum of 3 years’ experience in transportation utilities design and/or complex projects.

·        Ability to read and edit multidisciplinary engineering plans.

·        Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

·        Excellent interpersonal communication and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
