Privacy Legal Counsel - Maternity Leave Replacement (8 months temporary position)

At Perion's legal team, we are handling some of the most intriguing legal and commercial topics relating to the rapidly developing ad tech and privacy regime. We are looking for an exceptional, passionate, proactive and business-savvy legal counsel to join our team in Israel for an 8-month maternity leave replacement position. In this role, you will support our various business units in all aspects of global privacy regulation and data protection as well as our commercial activity. Job Description

• Provide ongoing legal counseling on various privacy compliance and commercial related matters, as well as AI related matters
• Collaborate with cross-company teams such as sales, product, DevOps, security and marketing on data protection matters
• Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice and recommendations on matters pertaining to the Company's business and operations
• Stay abreast of and provide guidance on developments in privacy and other relevant laws and regulations and ensure implementation within the organization
• Draft and maintain privacy and other policies, templates, training and procedures
• Draft and negotiate data processing contracts and other legal documents relating to privacy
• Draft and negotiate various commercial contracts and other related legal documents
• Collaborate with various teams in the organization to deeply understand the company's products and practices and provide advice on best practices to ensure compliance with the applicable regulation
  
  

• 5+ years of relevant experience preferably in a technology company or in the privacy compliance or high-tech department of a leading law firm. Experience in the ad tech industry is an advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of privacy regulations such as the GDPR and CPRA
• Fast learner who enjoys expanding his/her professional knowledge
• Excellent negotiation and drafting skills and demonstrated creative problem-solving ability
• Excellent business judgment, and strategic thinking
• Pragmatic and business-focused, ability to resolve issues independently
• Knowledge of the online advertising space and related regulations is an advantage
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment and fast-paced work environment while effectively prioritizing and managing multiple matters
• Team player with superb interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English & Hebrew
